Between June 2 and June 8, 2002, Robert Duncan McNeill will be pedalling nearly 600 miles between San Francisco and Los Angeles as part of this year's Calfornia AIDSRide -- an annual week-long bicycle trek designed to draw attention to the ongoing AIDS crisis and to raise funds for California agencies providing direct services to those dealing with HIV and AIDS.

Robbie is now asking his fans and friends to support his effort to help persons who deal daily with AIDS and its consequences. Robbie has committed to bicycling 575 miles and to raising at least $2,700 for this year's AIDSRide. You can help him keep his commitment -- and help the non-profit agencies listed below that are this year's beneficiaries of the California AIDSRide -- by becoming one of Robbie's financial sponsors. Your donation will help provide direct medical, social, and legal services to people with HIV and AIDS across California.

There are two ways to sponsor Robbie:

1. Online Donation:  This is the easiest and quickest way to make a donation. Go to BeThePeople.com and donate online by credit card. When you fill out the form, please make sure that Robbie's name (Robert McNeill) and participant number (1975) are entered into the online donation form to assure that your donation sponsors Robbie's journey.

2. Donation by Check or Money Order: You can also donate offline by downloading this donation form and mailing your check or money order to: California AIDSRide, 135 S. LaSalle, Dept.2295, Chicago, IL 60674-2295. You'll need an Adobe Acrobat Reader to view and print out the form. If you don't have Adobe Acrobat on your computer, you can find and install it here.

Either option provides multiple means of contributing to the fight against AIDS -- and remember to check with your employer. Your donation to the California AIDSRide may qualify for matching funds if your employer sponsors a matching fund program.
